In the pocket you can include a card for the party to RSVP, or you can let them know the choices they may have in terms of the dinner you will serving as well. Thermography Wedding Invitations

The new craze in weddings these days are thermography wedding invitations.  Never heard of thermography?  Don’t worry you probably know exactly what it is, but you just don’t know that you know it.

Thermography wedding invitations are basically any wedding invitations on which the letters of that invitation are raised.  So in essence thermography is a way of printing where the raised effect is present.  The common misconception is that people think it takes some kind of advanced printing machine in order for invitations to achieve this look of raised lettering.  While heavy duty thermography will require some kind of equipment, basic thermography wedding invitations can be made by anyone who has patience.  Interested in learning how?  Let’s take a look at some of the basic steps.

The first thing you will need is some kind of embossing powder.  What color do you need?  Well, that is really all up to you and in this day and age there are more and more choices available to you.  The basic color would be clear, but they do make gold and silver powder as well that is readily available at most places where embossing powder is sold.  Are you looking to liven up the process?  If so, then you will find with increasing popularity that companies are offering their embossing powder in a wide range of colors that you will be able to use when creating your thermography wedding invitations.

Ok, now that you have you powder picked out it is time for the next part in the process.  Next, you want to make sure your printer is set at a frequency that will allow you to print the raised print you will need for your thermography wedding invitations.  You basically want to set your printer so it allows more ink to flow than usual.  Along with setting your printer you will want to make sure the stationary you are printing the invitations on are glossy in nature as well.  This will allow the ink to stay wet for a longer period of time which is essential for our next step.

The next step is to apply the embossing powder while the ink is still wet.  You will ruin the invitation otherwise so make sure the ink is wet during this step.  So now you should have a piece of stationary with your design on it of course along with the embossing powder applied.

Now, one of the most important steps is to heat the surface of your invitation of the printed side.  It is important to do just the right amount of heating because overdoing the heating aspect will prevent you from getting that nice smooth finish you need.

When you do that last step the embossing powder should spread evenly on the invitation and you have completed one of your thermography wedding invitations.  To create more you will just need to do this process all over again.  So, like we said before this is a time consuming process, but you will save a lot of money this way.  Good luck!
